“ON FIRE FOR GOD”
SCRIPTURE READING
(2 TIMOTHY 1; 6-7)AMP
WHEREFORE I PUT YOU IN REMEMBRANCE THAT YOU WOULD STIR UP THE GIFT OF GOD,WHICH IS IN YOU…FOR GOD DID NOT GIVE US THE SPIRIT OF FEAR, BUT OF POWER, LOVE, AND A SOUND ,SELF DISCIPLINED , AND STEADFAST MIND! AMP
Dear friends,
In Paul’s letter to his beloved son in the faith, Timothy, He sought to encourage Timothy by reminding Him of the most critical aspect of the Christian walk of a true leader and follower of Christ Jesus. Paul reminded and instructed Timothy to “stir up the gift of God that was within Him”. What exactly did Paul mean by ” stir up the gift”?
Paul was actually reminding and encouraging Timothy to ( rekindle the embers of, to fan the flame of, and keep burning!). In other words, be on fire for God using the gifts and talents He has given you! Not only that, but don’t ever be afraid or fearful. You don’t ever have to be afraid, be on fire for God! Walking in power, love, and with and a mind filled with peace!
BE ON FIRE FOR GOD!
